When we were doing a job like you do we always wanted someone to just give us the stuff - and the machines - let us set everything up and leave us alone to push it - drive it - do side-by-side comparisons - no sales talk - just technology and some time to play with it.  

 

That is the Geek Day^TM Geek Lab.

 

In this amazing place we will have fully functional demonstrations of every solution - from all of the vendors that are the designated sponsors of Geek Day^{TM -} with engineers in lab coats waiting to answer any question you can dream up. 

There will be NO Trade Show booths - No Booth Candy (and you know what we mean) - No PowerPoints in the Lab. 

This is a NO SALES PITCH ZONE.  You will know the Subject Matter Technical Experts by their Lab Coats.

Some vendors plan to show soon-to-be-released versions or new additions to their suite that are not publicly available, as of yet.  

 

Some stuff is going to be there that we can't even talk about... So we're going to project it to you telepathically now - concentrate....harder....yeah!  That's what I'm TALKIN' about!

Some of the highlights of what we have confirmed to show in the lab includes the new 4.5 Presentation Server version - The new Platinum Version of the PS Suite, Citrix Streaming Server, the new Netscaler 8.0, and future connection brokers from Citrix. 

You think you know how to manage a data center?  Just wait until you see Blue Lane.  You will not believe this technology!  Concentrate here, too....sending more secret info now....

Last year you learned all about Virtualization, and now we push it to the limits with VDI.

 

VMware will be there showing their Suite as well as the new LabManager, and their new Converter. 

 

This year we expanded and brought in Virtual Iron, and XenSource so you can compare Hypervisors - and the options for each.

Xiotech will have their awesome Magnitude 3D fiber SAN in the lab for us to use as the core of our virtual infrastructure.  This high performing storage solution for virtualization will allow us to show all of the features of a Virtual Infrastructure.

 

Think you can't afford to do Virtualization - because you can't budget for a big fibre SAN right now?   Think again.  We will have multiple options for you to consider from a software SAN created with repurposed servers to an iSCSI SAN that performs like crazy.
